Vignobles Bodillard has been making exceptional Organic Beaujolais wines for five generations.  Granitic, sandy soils provide the ideal growing conditions for the Gamay grape while the vineyards exposition on sloping hillsides allow perfect grape maturation.
The vines are bush trained in goblet form, to best respect the environment. Grapes are picked in bunches at optimum ripeness, and put whole into the vat to undergo carbonic maceration before spending 17 days at a low temperature in the vat. After the pressing, the wine is aged in barrels according to the vintage - with no addition of sulphites before bottling to produce wines that perfectly represent the identity and personality of the region.
