The origins of Domaine Francois Xavier Lambert in the commune of Gigondas dates back to 1556, when the area was home to the vines of the Prince of Orange. Managed by his great grandson Jean-Francois Gras, the wines still carry an air of nobility, and an elegance which characterises the clay and clay limestone soils of the region. Part of the complexity of his wines comes from his precision wine making techniques, including vinifiying each grape variety and parcel separately to protect their individual qualities before making the finished wines.
