Production Methods: Traditional Winemaking. Fermentation at low temperatures preserves the fresh fruit flavours, resulting in a wine that is both aromatic and well-structured.
Special Features: Low yield of the vines giving rise to powerful wines, more concentrated in aromas and very well structured. Vega Castillo was created in 1911 as the first cooperative winery in Spain which has since merged with the the bodega cooperativa of the villages of Olite, Ujue’ and Pitillas. The oenologist behind the winemaking has been in the Charo Family for 2 generations, and is committed to preserving the heritage of the Navarra DO.
