Production Methods: Manual and mechanical harvesting. Before being put into vats, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. Daily pumping over. Temperature control: internal and by run-off. Vatting lasts from 15 to 25 days. The wine is ageing in underground vats before being bottled at the property.
Special Features: The property is the vast expanse of the Château Boyrein, formerly the hunting ground of Pape Clement VII and the former lord of Sir Gourgues, who was dismantled in 1877. Since, the Medeville family has been working on the reconstruction of this property for three generations. These 8 hectares of vines of Château Puy Boyrein are situated in the commune of Roaillan between the Garonne River and the vast forest that borders the Atlantic Ocean.
