Chardonnay, Cloudy Bay

Cloudy Bay Chardonnay is elegant and finely structured, with aromas of citrus zest, white peach and nectarine layered with subtle notes of hazelnut, brioche and spice from oak. The palate is concentrated yet vibrant, showing creamy texture, fresh acidity and a long, mineral finish.

Region: Marlborough

Production Methods: Hand-harvested grapes, whole-bunch pressing. Fermentation in French oak barriques (a proportion new), with indigenous yeasts. Partial malolactic fermentation and regular bâtonnage add texture and complexity. Maturation in oak before release.

Special Features: One of New Zealand’s most iconic Chardonnays, combining Burgundian influence with Marlborough freshness. Known for its balance of ripe fruit and elegant oak.
