Highly rated Bordeaux vineyard run by Jerome and Beatrice de Monteil in their 15th century chateau that has been in the same family for generations. Haut-Rocher is in a priveleged position on the côteaux of Saint Etienne de Lisse with a south/south east exposition. The soil is naturally heavy clayey chalk, typical of the region. Consultant oenologue, the renowned Thomas Duclos oversees production of 70 year old vines that are hand harvested before going on to largely traditional methods of vinification and a mix of cement and stainless steel vats and aging in French oak barrels.
