Bold yet poised expression of Tinta de Toro – deep and concentrated with layers of dark fruit, spice, and cocoa. Firm but polished tannins frame the wine, while fresh acidity brings balance to its power.
A true icon of Toro, it promises both immediate impact and long cellaring potential.
97pts - James Suckling
Vineyard: Bodega Numanthia
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo Tinta de Toro
Village: Toro
Region: Castilla y León
Production Methods: Hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted and fermented in small stainless-steel vats to preserve purity. Ageing takes place for 18 months in new French oak barrels. Minimal intervention winemaking allows the terroir and the remarkable old vines to express themselves fully.
Special Features: Sandy and rocky soils at high altitude, with hot days and cool nights. The ungrafted vines, many pre-phylloxera, deliver naturally low yields of intensely flavoured grapes. Numanthia has built its reputation on producing wines of both richness and structure, designed to age gracefully.
Country: Spain
Alcohol: 15.5%
