Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 2022, Joseph Phelps
A wine of power and finesse, showing bright ruby colour and aromas of blackberry and damson. Sixteen months in French and American oak adds subtle cedar, sandalwood and coffee notes. The palate is rounded and fruit-driven, with ripe cherries, plum and berry flavours supported by fine tannins and fresh acidity, finishing long and elegant.
Dark fruit (blackberry, black cherry, currant), layers of spice, tobacco/leather, often vanilla/oak, cedar, sometimes an earthy or graphite note; full-bodied, substantial tannins and structure, with ability to age.

Production Methods: Grapes sourced from several sub-AVAs/estate vineyard sites across Napa Valley including but not limited to Rutherford, Oakville, Stags Leap, Oak Knoll and St. Helena. Aged for sixteen months in 48% new oak (50% French, 50% American) and 52% used French and American oak barrels before bottling.
