The Vitas family for five generations in Italy's Friuli Venezia Giulia  and now in the capable hands of Romano Vitas. The vineyard takes its name from the magnificent 18th century Villa that is at the heart of the vineyard. The proximity to the sea and the natural barrier of the Alps and surrounding hills, provide excellent biodiversity, characterised by a series of microclimates ideal for grape growing. The clayey, sandy soil is rich in minerals that keep the plants healthy offering freshness and vitality. They focus on a range of grapes that comprise some real gems, including Refosco, alongside Ribolla Gialla, Friulano and Traminer and the resulting wines are a testament to their heritage, and their region.
