Italy
The Di Camillo family have been working these Abruzzo vines for 6 generations, using a sustainable, organic approach to farming and a traditional approach, alongside modern techniques. Based in Poggiofiorito, in the Cortona area of Chieti, the vineyard is now managed by Paolo di Camillo and his family.
Producing award-winning wines, year on year, they focus on nurturing their native vines and ensuring they reach their full expression both on the vine, and in the wines. A mix of cement tanks and stainless steel are used and wines are aged in their own cellars. They are passionate about keeping their local grape varieties alive, working with a mix of uncommon indigenous grape varieties, including Passerina, as well as more well known varietals such as Pecorino and Montepulciano. Careful work in the cellars and wines which are fresh, balanced and a pleasure to drink.
