Taking its name from its place along the Route de Compostelle at Saint Jacques, the vineyard benefits from largely premier cru parcels in the heart of the Cote Chalonnaise, at Rully. Christophe Grandmougin continues the work of his grandfather, working 40 year old vines in a way according to organic principles, natural, home produced treatments and fertilisers and daily work on the vines, including harvesting by hand and transporting the grapes in small crates to avoid damage. Traditional vinification carefully adapts to each new harvest to preserve the special qualities of the vintage.
