Christophe Pichon is a tireless ambassador of the wines of Northern Rhone, and of its thousand year history from his 30 hectares of vines in the commune of Chavanay. Lauded in the press as a visionary winemaker, he focusses on a mix of traditional practices, with the benefits of modern techniques and cellaring. The rigour and precision he employs both in the wines, and in the cellars, is second to none. Small yields which are hand harvested at optimal ripeness and selected on sorting tables. The results are wines that burst from the glass with all the multi-layored subtlety and elegance that the appellations have to offer.
