In 2005, Axelle Machard de Gramant joined her father Bertrand at the family domaine after spending several years in Paris, where she was introduced to the organic wine movement and set out to breathe new life into the estate. Today, she crafts her wines from secluded cellars tucked away near the village of Curtil-Vergy in the Hautes-Côtes, perched several hundred meters above sea level and separated from Vosne-Romanée by dense forest.

With a philosophy rooted in minimal intervention and a restrained use of new oak, Axelle produces an elegant lineup of reds from Nuits-St-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, as well as a notably vibrant Aligoté from a nearby vineyard parcel. Her wines have an elegance and harmony that makes her one to watch and we are pleased to offer two sought after vintages that are drinking exceptionally well.
